Attributes: Our Reclaimed Mushroom Wood is primarily Cypress but may include other softwoods such as Hemlock. Mushroom Wood is a distinct offering unique to The Hudson Co. It is timber that is repurposed from the bedding bins in mushroom growing facilities. During the mushroom growth cycle, enzymes digest and erode the soft wood grain producing an organic, sculpted effect. After the mushrooms are harvested, the wood displays a deep-grained open texture and caramel hue.

Notes: Reclaimed Mushroom Wood is a locally re-purposed material whose harvesting was pioneered by The Hudson Co. The wood has been a prominent feature of installations ranging from ultra-modern Manhattan hotels to rustic Bayou restaurants. Mushroom Wood can be sourced in varying grades allowing further creativity to the designer.
